We offer bespoke, one to one and small group classes or at parents home & online and face to face groups.

* Baby massage classes are ideally taught over 5 weeks in order to give both the parent and the baby time to learn and get comfortable to massage. Baby massage classes involve many different types of touch, movement, interaction and communication. They include time for parent relaxation and informal discussions on joys and challenges of parenting. Elements of Montessori approach are included.

At what age?        

•   Classes are suitable for babies 1 month - 12 months old,  offered in blocks

Who will massage the babies?

·       Only parents will massage the babies, as instructor I only demonstrate the strokes on a doll.

·       Detailed massage strokes handouts will be available.

What will the baby massage classes cover?

·       When is the best time to massage your baby

·       A short colic/gas routine

·       Gentle movements and touch relaxation

·       What massage oils to use

·       How to adapt the strokes for your baby’s individuals needs and the growing child.

Emphasis and focus on sensitive and enjoyable interaction between the parent/caregiver so that you gain deeper understanding of your babies behaviour, unique language and cues.

Partners / grand parents are welcome, please let us know in advance.

Face to face courses take place at LMP`s location

Things to bring:

Please put on comfortable clothes and socks (no shoes in the room).

Gymnastics mats are available, but you are welcome to bring your own mat

Please bring a towel for your baby to lie on.

In September Little Montessori Pundit´s is opening another section of its Montessori practice. Baby Massage courses for babies under one year old & age appropriate Baby Sensory classes.

About Me

My name is Kalpana Pandit, I am a mother of 4 children and four grandchildren. I have over 35 years of experience working with children and their families.  I have a master´s degree in education, and I am an early year´s specialist consultant, with a diploma in Montessori and Emmi Pikler 0 -6 years old.

 I have always worked in early year´s sectors, writing and implementing early year´s concepts and setting up Montessori playgroups, kindergartens and bilingual early year´s settings. Few years ago I took a career change in order to set up a Montessori sensory garden.  As part of my sensory program and births of my grandchildren where I was passing on my knowledge of baby massage, I got more curious to learn the science behind baby massage.

I have experienced first-hand the endless benefits of baby massage and it never stops surprising me how powerful this art is. Massage is so ingrained into my Hindu way of life and has been passed on from generations to massage our new born babies.

I became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Now I am an Instructor for the International Association for Infant Massage (IAIM) and DGBM e.V. Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Babymassage e.V. (DGBM) in Germany.

My week is split between baby massage, baby sensory classes and the Montessori Sensory Garden for children.

I count myself lucky to be able to do the jobs that are dear to my heart, working with children and families in early years settings and be part of their parenting journey.

September 2023 I setup my Baby Massages Classes for parents and caregivers. I run bespoke, one to one and small group classes from Little Montessori Pundit´s (LMP), or at parents home. I teach both online and face to face.

IAIM baby massage classes involves many different types of touch, movement, interaction and communication. They include time for parent relaxation and informal discussions on joys and challenges of parenting.

·       Only parents will massage the babies, as instructor I will only demonstrate the strokes on a doll.

Workshop: Interactive Storytelling with Children (Age 0 – 5 Years Olds)

This workshop is about how you can make children´s stories come alive by using story boxes, props or story bags to tell a story.

The main objective is to make reading and learning a language fun for the child/children.

I have used these in early year’s settings when telling a story, in my experience I have noticed by using story boxes, props and story bags helps extend child´s focus, this specially benefits children with shorter attention span. This way of storytelling is interactive and playful.

Once you have made the story boxes, and the bags you can use them over and over again.

These are great literacy resource, and encourage children to the wonderful world of reading. It encourages them to reading, telling a story, being imaginative, learning to take turns, the benefits are endless.

The best part is that you can involve children right from the being in preparing the baskets and you can keep adding materials and props to the collection at a very low cost.

In this workshop you will learn:

1. What is Interactive storytelling with children?
2. What are story boxes props and story bags?
3. How to put these together?
4. How to use them?
5. Ideas on which stories to use for the story boxes and bags.

Interactive Art of Story Telling With Children

This is a wonderful way of telling a story to young children. It’s interactive by using soft toys, wooden or lego bricks. Anything that you can get children to think on how to setup a stage and use these things as characters or prompts to tell a story.

Easy Felting Projects With Children (Needle and Wet Felting Chritmas Orn...

Needle felting or wet felting projects are very tactile activities for little hands as children love to work with soft fluffy wool, soapy water and they see immediate results. Wet felting is suitable for children as young as three years of age. As for tools you will need warm water, and in addition soapy water in a spray bottle. The water has to be lukewarm so that it is safe for the children to use. On the other hand with Needle Felting there are few safety measures to take into consideration when working with young children: 1. The felting needle is sharp so make sure that you provide finger protection and never leave the child/children alone. 2.
